649 Feature Films Are Eligible For the 2021 Reel Awards

Read Time:1 Minutes, 3 Seconds

Awards season is starting soon, and that means that Reel Awards deliberations are now underway!

Six hundred forty-nine feature films have been determined to be eligible for the 2021 Reel Awards®. To be eligible for consideration, feature films can either open in a movie theater in any part of the United States by December 31, 2021 and complete a minimum qualifying run of seven consecutive days in that same venue. Drive-in theaters are included as a qualifying venue. Films that were intended for theatrical release but initially made available through streaming, video-on-demand service, or other broadcasts (but not on television) also qualifies a film. Feature films must have a running time of at least one hour.

The “Eligible Film List” for the 2021 Reel Awards is available here. If you have a film that you think is missing from the list, don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll make sure it gets added.

Nominations voting begins on Friday, October 8, 2021 for Patrons and Thursday, October 14, 2021 for everyone else.

Nominations for the 2021 Reel Awards will be announced on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

The 2021 Reel Awards® will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2022, and will be broadcast live on YouTube.

Until next time!
