Save The Date for the 2022 Mid-Year Reel Awards and the 2022 Reel Awards
Now that last year’s awards season is officially over, it’s time to talk about this year’s awards season. So, today I am announcing all the relevant dates for both the 2022 Mid-Year Reel Awards and the 2022 Reel Awards.
Since the 2022 awards season has returned to a moderately regular season, the 2022 Reel Awards will return to an eligibility window of January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022. Complete 2022 Reel Awards rules will be available on June 1st.
The key dates for the 2022 Reel Awards are as follows:
June 1st - Rules & Regulations published
October 2nd- Eligible Film List published
October 3rd - Eligible Film List published
October 7th - Patron Nominee Voting begins
October 14th - All Access Nominee Voting begins
December 31st - Eligibility period ends
January 6th, 2023 - Nominations announced
January 9th, 2023 - Patron final voting begins
January 16th, 2023 - All Access final voting begins
February 16th, 2023 - Final voting ends
March 8th, 2023 - 2022 Reel Awards Ceremony
Turning my focus back to the 2022 Mid-Year Reel Awards, those key dates are as follows:
May 25th - Patron nominee voting begins
June 1st - All Access nominee voting begins
July 1st - Nominee voting ends
July 6th - Nominations announced
July 7th - Patron final voting begins
July 14th - All Access final voting begins
August 3rd - Final voting begins
August 31st - 2022 Mid-Year Reel Awards Ceremony
All dates are subject to change.
For the 2022 Mid-Year Reel Awards eligibility period, I’ll be limiting the votes to films released during the first half of the year. Nominees can only be released between January 1st, 2022, and June 30th, 2022 in theaters, on VOD, or on a streaming platform. Unlike the 2022 Reel Awards, I will not be releasing an Eligible Film List.
