4th Annual International Film Society Critics Association (IFSCA) Awards Winners

Earlier this week, The International Film Critics Society Association, now in its fourth year of operation, announced the winners of the 2023-2024 International Film Society Critics Association Awards, also known as the 4th Annual IFSCA Awards.

I didn't get to cover the nominations nor did I remember to write up my ballot (sorry!), so let's get you caught up. Leading with eight wins and four runner-up placements is Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. However, surprising everyone is Celine Song's Past Lives, which picked up awards for Best Picture, Best First Feature, Best Original Screenplay, and the Exceeding One-Inch Barriers award which is awarded to the film with the greatest crossover appeal to audiences regardless of what language is spoken.

Barbie had the most nominations out of all the films with 17 total - including three in the Best Original Song category - picking up only three awards in a surprising shutout: Best Comedy or Musical Feature, Best Production Design, and Best Original Song for "I'm Just Ken," with five runner-up placements.

From there on, awards darling Poor Things picked up two wins alongside Godzilla Minus One and John Wick: Chapter 4.
