This time last year, awards season was officially over. In 2020, Hollywood (among many other things) had to navigate around a worldwide pandemic (and still is). As a result, awards season shifted from the usual September - February to September - April and allowed for this year's awards season to include films that are only available through digital rental or streaming services since most of the world couldn't set foot in a movie theater.

Yesterday, The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences (AKA The Academy or AMPAS) went live on YouTube to share the films their members nominated for films made/released in 2020.
