Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes Will Host the 94th Oscars
On Tuesday’s Good Morning America, Oscars show producer Will Packer revealed the long-rumored trio of hosts for the 94th Oscars: Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes. This will mark the first time hosting the Oscars for all three hosts, and the first time hosting duties have been divided amongst three women hosts.
“This year’s show is all about uniting movie lovers. It’s apropos that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles,” said Packer. “I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well. Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!”
“We want people to get ready to have a good time. It’s been a while,” said Hall, Schumer and Sykes.
“We’re invigorated by Will’s vision for this year’s Oscars: celebrating movie lovers alongside moviemakers and spotlighting fan favorites that prove how cinema can unite us all,” said Academy President David Rubin and Academy CEO Dawn Hudson. “Hosting this star-studded party are three powerful, funny women inviting us to laugh and cheer for the year’s best and brightest in film.”

Regina Hall appeared in the Scary Movie franchise, Girls Trip, Little, The Hate U Give, Nine Perfect Strangers, and the upcoming films Master & Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul, which she also produced.
Schumer is an Emmy, Peabody, and Critics Choice Award-winning stand-up comic, actor, writer, producer, and director. She has starred in films like The Humans, I Feel Pretty, and Trainwreck, which she also wrote. She also has an upcoming comedy series, Life & Beth, which she wrote, directed, executive, produced, and starred in, streaming on Hulu March 18th.
Sykes is an Emmy-winning writer, comedian, actor, and producer. She is a creator, executive producer, writer, and star of the comedy seriesThe Upshaws and will be seen next in the variety series History of the World, Part II. She was also part of the HBO comedy series The Other Two and the film Monster-in-Law, among various comedy specials.
The 94th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby® Theatre at Hollywood & Highland® in Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and in more than 200 territories worldwide.
