Ghostface Is Back In The First Official Scream Trailer
Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer for Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's Scream, the fifth film and reboot (not unlike David Gordon Green's 2018 Halloween, which will have a sequel of its own this weekend with Halloween Kills).

Plot Synopsis: Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.
Scream releases in theaters on January 14th, 2022.
What do you think of the trailer? It may surprise readers to know this, but I've never seen any of the Scream films, but I did see the pilot for the MTV show, Scream: The TV Series, and thought that was pretty good if a little too driven to adapt a slasher film to modern-day. But this looks great! I can't wait to see what Scream still has to offer after an eleven-year hiatus. Maybe I'll even do a franchise review in the lead-up to this.
