The 28th Annual Online Film & Television Association (OFTA) Television Award Winners

The Online Film & Television Association (OFTA) announced the winners of its 28th Annual OFTA TV Awards on October 6th, 2024. recognizing the best in television across various categories. This year, Shogun made history by claiming a record-breaking 17 wins-the most ever for a series in a single season. Among its impressive victories, Shogun won Best Drama Series, Best Actor for Hiroyuki Sanada, Best Guest Actor for Nestor Carbonell, and multiple awards across technical categories including Best Directing, Writing, Cinematography, and more.

Also in the drama category, The Crown had a strong showing, with Imelda Staunton winning Best Actress, Jonathan Pryce taking home Best Supporting Actor, and Elizabeth Debicki honored as Best Supporting Actress. Claire Foy’s portrayal in The Crown earned her the Best Guest Actress award, while the series also secured an award for Best Costume Design.

On the comedy side, The Bear continues to dominate the category for the third year in a row, taking home the prestigious Best Comedy Series award, alongside wins for Jeremy Allen White as Best Actor and several technical awards. Hacks saw Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder win for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Abbott Elementary earned honors for Best Supporting Actor (Tyler James Williams) and Best Cinematography, while Only Murders in the Building took home awards for Best Casting & Ensemble, Best Production Design, and Best Makeup.
