Today, the IMAX Corporation has announced that starting this summer, you can watch Summer Game Fest Live!, Geoff Keighley’s annual mid-year celebration of video games as well as The Game Awards this December, Keighley’s annual year-end video game award show, live in IMAX theaters in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The partnership with IMAX begins on June 9th at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET with Summer Game Fest Live!. Then, in December, come back for The Game Awards 2022, broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Tickets for Summer Game Fest will go on sale on May 12th at 9 AM Pacific/12 PM Eastern.

The Game Awards 2022 will mark the 9th year of Keighley’s video game awards show, and as always, will celebrate the best video games of 2022, as well as look forward to video games we’ll be playing in the future with Keighley’s famous world premieres and announcements. With IMAX’s LIVE network, The Game Awards 2022 will be broadcast in 50 markets across the United States.

“Video games are the most powerful, immersive and spectacular form of entertainment in the world, so it’s only natural to bring them to fans in IMAX, the world’s most immersive cinema format,” said Geoff Keighley, producer of The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest.
