Thor: Love and Thunder’s First Teaser Reveals a Journey Across the Cosmos

These hands were once used for battle, now they’re but humble tools for peace. I need to figure out exactly who I am.
— Thor Odinson in Thor: Love and Thunder

After breaking the record for the shortest span of a Marvel Cinematic Universe between the first trailer and release, Marvel Studios, a Walt Disney Studios subsidiary, has shared the first teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder.

This first teaser reveals a story that finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a new journey - a quest for peace. However, Thor’s retirement is short-lived as a new threat that requires the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).

Together, the crew will journey the cosmos to uncover who’s threatening Thor’s quest for peace and how to stop this new threat before it’s too late. You can find the teaser above, in addition to the film’s official poster!

Returning to the director’s chair is Taika Waititi, who also co-wrote the film with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, whose previous work includes the film Unpregnant, the “Magnus Lund Part II” episode of Love Life, and was a consulting producer on the Hawkeye limited series.

Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8th, 2022 (in the United States).
