Tribeca Festival Sets Dates for 2023 and Calls for Submissions

Two months and change after Tribeca 2022, Tribeca is already looking ahead to 2023.

The 22nd edition of the Tribeca Festival will take place in New York City from June 7th through June 18th. The 2023 Tribeca Festival will once again be presented by OKX, a cryptocurrency, and derivative exchange platform. Also returning next year is the expansive lineup, spanning film, TV, immersive, games, audio storytelling, talks, music, and comedy.

Creatives looking to submit to the Features, NOW, immersive, and games lineup(s) can submit their project starting on September 19th, 2022, and will close on October 26th (early), December 7th (official), and January 18th, 2023 (extended).

Those submitting to the shorts or audio storytelling lineups can submit their project starting on October 26th, 2022, and close on November 30th, 2022 (early), January 11th, 2023 (official), and February 22nd, 2023 (extended).

The 2022 Tribeca Festival hosted over 600 events across New York City, and was attended in person by more than 150,000 participants. Highlights of the Festival included the world premiere of the Netflix documentary Halftime starring Jennifer Lopez; the world premiere of FX’s acclaimed scripted series The Bear starring Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri; the world premiere of BJ Novak’s feature directorial debut, Vengeance, starring Novak, Boyd Holbrook, Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, and Dove Cameron; live performances and appearances by Taylor Swift, Lil Baby, Cynthia Erivo, Common, Pharrell, and others.

Films such as Good Girl Jane, January, Huesera, and the documentary Katrina Babies won top awards at the 2022 Festival.

The Tribeca Festival is curated by Festival Director and VP of Programming Cara Cusumano, Artistic Director Frédéric Boyer; VP of Filmmaker Relations & Shorts Programming Sharon Badal, and Head Shorts Programmer Ben Thompson; Senior Programmer Liza Domnitz; Programmers José F. Rodriguez; VP of Games and Immersive Casey Baltes and Immersive Curator Ana Brzezinska; Curator of Audio Storytelling Davy Gardner; Music Programmer Vincent Cassous; and program advisor Paula Weinstein, along with a team of associate programmers.
