Owen Wilson, Kim Kardashian West, Rami Malek, and Jason Sudeikis Headline the 47th Season of Saturday Night Live

NBCUniversal announced the four guests and musical guests of the 47th season of Saturday Night Live, which will consist of Owen Wilson/Kacey Musgraves on October 2nd, Kim Kardashian West/Halsey on October 9th, Rami Malek/Young Thug on October 16th, and Jason Sudeikis/Brandi Carlile on October 23rd.

The October 2nd season opener will mark Wilson's 2nd time hosting Saturday Night Live and Kacey Musgrave's 2nd time as a musical guest. Recently, Wilson appeared in the first season of Loki on Disney+ and will be one of many stars in The French Dispatch, which will be in theaters on October 22nd. Musgraves' latest album, star-crossed, debuted last Friday at #1 on Billboard's Album Sales Chart and has a companion film now streaming on Paramount+.

Kim Kardashian West's episode on October 9th will mark the TV star, producer, activist, and entrepreneur's first time hosting Saturday Night Live.

Halsey's appearance on the October 9th episode will mark the musician's fourth time appearing on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest. The Grammy-nominated artist recently released If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, which debuted at #1 Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart. The musician also had a companion film released in IMAX theaters on August 25th.

Rami Malek will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on October 16th. Malek stars in No Time to Die, the 25th entry in the James Bond franchise, which will release in theaters on October 8th.

Likewise, the October 16th episode will mark Young Thug's first appearance as a musical guest. The Grammy-Award-winning artist will release PUNK on the night before, October 15th.

On October 23rd, Jason Sudeikis will return to Studio 8H, his first time hosting the show. Sudeikis was a sketch writer on Saturday Night Live from 2003 to May 2005, before being upgraded to a featured player on the show at the start of the 32nd season, before leaving in 2013. Ever since, he's appeared in countless films and television series. This past Sunday, Sudeikis won Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series as the co-creator, executive producer, and star of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+.

Brandi Carlile will make her musical guest debut on the October 23rd episode. Carlile will be releasing her new album, In These Silent Days, on October 1st.

This year, in addition to the NBC live broadcast, the first four episodes of the 47th season of Saturday Night Live will be live-streamed on the NBCUniversal-owned streaming service Peacock, starting with the Owen Wilson/Kacey Musgrave season premiere on October 2nd at 11:30 PM Eastern/8:30 PM Pacific. While you wait for the 47th season, you can stream all 930 episodes of Saturday Night Live on Peacock.

At the time of publish, it was not made clear whether any of the cast from the previous season would be returning or what additions would be made to the cast for the 47th season.
