The 2023 Golden Globes Winners
After not having a televised ceremony last year due to the now well-known controversies the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) was involved in, the Golden Globes are back!
The HFPA underwent various changes to address these concerns, such as increasing the Golden Globes voting body to 62 countries to address ethnic and diversity concerns within its membership. How will these changes affect who wins a Golden Globe? Well, it's time to find out.
The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, and Everything Everywhere All at Once took home the most Golden Globes in the film categories. Martin McDonagh's latest film featuring the reunion of Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson fourteen years after they starred in McDonagh's In Bruges won the most Globes with a tally of 3 Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor for Colin Farrell, and Best Screenplay for McDonagh proper. The legendary Steven Spielberg accepted a Golden Globe twice, accepting the awards for Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director for his semi-autobiographical film The Fabelmans. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan were, surprisingly, the only winners from Everything Everywhere All at Once in their respective categories and first-time Golden Globes winners.
Without further ado, here are the winners of the 2023 Golden Globes! As usual, winners are bolded like so, and you can find links to every nominee that one of my contributors or I reviewed below.
